Vianney High SchoolSt. John Vianney High School is dedicated to forming young men for spiritual, academic and personal excellence in the Catholic, Marianist tradition. Vianney was established in 1960, and in 1999 received the prestigious award from the federal government's Blue Ribbon Schools Program. Lt. Dan Riordan attended Vianney from 1997 to 2001 receiving the Gold
Circle Award for his extensive involvement in student activities ranging
from Year Book Staff to Letterman's Club and varsity athletics like Cross
Country and Football. He was also a recipient of the Marianist Award which
is presented to a small percentage of Vianney students that distinguish
themselves in areas of scholarship, involvement, and service. Although Dan
was half way around the world, he maintained a close relationship with
numerous Vianney teachers and administrators via email throughout his tour
in Iraq. The Vianney Family had an extremely positive and profound
effect on Dan's life and played a major role in the development of his
faith and dedication to service. In 2010 Dan was inducted in the Vianney High School Hall of Fame for his contributions to his school, community, and our country. |
